Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced Sarwar Imran as the team's new assistant coach for the three-match ODI series against India next month on June 15.
"We have appointed Imran bhai as assistant coach for the upcoming India series," BCB chairman Akram Khan told ESPNcricinfo. "Since Hathurusingha arrives on June 10, Imran bhai will begin the training from Monday. He has been Bangladesh's coach previously. He will be with the team till the India series, and then we will take it from there. "
Imran, who was the former head coach of the national side in 2000 and is thought to be a highly-regarded figure in Bangladesh cricket.
India will arrive in Bangladesh on June 13 for the three-match ODI series, starting on June 15 followed by 17 and 19.
