Australia Test squad for their upcoming tour of Bangladesh

Australian pacer James Pattinson has been ruled out of the tour with inflammation in his back for their upcoming Test tour of Bangladesh.

The Victorian fast bowler last played for the Aussies in February 2016. His impressive performances for Nottinghamshire earned him a recall to the country’s Champions Trophy squad apparently he did not play any of the games.



The 27-year-old picked a total of 32 wickets in five County Championship games for Nottinghamshire. Meanwhile, fast bowler Jackson Bird has replaced Pattinson in the 14-man Test squad.

The first of two Tests begins in Mirpur on August 27.

Australia squad: Steven Smith (capt), David Warner (vice-capt), Ashton Agar, Hilton Cartwright, Pat Cummins, Peter Handscomb, Matthew Wade (wk), Josh Hazlewood, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, Glenn Maxwell, Matt Renshaw, Mitchell Swepson, Jackson Bird.

The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
