Melbourne Renegades's Imran Tahir pulls out of BBL due to personal reasons

South African veteran legspinner Imran Tahir has pulled out of the Big Bash League due to personal reasons. The Melbourne Renegades have suffered another blow with after the 41-year-old spin bowler withdrawing from the ongoing tournament for personal reasons. The Renegades coach Michael Klinger expressed his disappointment with the unavailability of Pakistani-born South African cricketer. “He’s a great player so it is a loss. But at the same time we’ve seen Noor Ahmad a couple of games ago, a bowler who people haven’t seen that much, it might actually work in our favor. He’ll now be able to play a fair chunk of that back end of the season, with Imad Wasim. Nabi has to go home for international duty. Glamorgan: David Lloyd pens new contract until 2023

Glamorgan vice-captain David Lloyd has committed his future to the County club after signing a new two-year contract that promises to keep him at Sophia Gardens until 2023. The 28-year-old batsman has spent his entire professional career at South Wales, playing 168 matches across all formats. “I’m really happy to be signing a new deal at Glamorgan,” said the allrounder. “Being Welsh and playing for the only Welsh first-class county is something I’m very proud of, and to have been capped and captain Glamorgan was something I could only dream about. Lloyd, who made his Glamorgan debut in 2012, and has since gone on to score 4,970 runs and remains an integral part of Matthew Maynard's squad. Dan Mousley extends Warwickshire contract to 2023

Warwickshire have confirmed England Under-19s batsman Dan Mousley has penned a new three-year contract until 2023. The 19-year-old, who made his County Championship debut for the Bears in July 2019, is now tied to Edgbaston until at least the end of 2023. "Dan is one of the most exciting young batsmen in the county game," said Bears director of cricket Paul Farbrace. "He broke through to the senior ranks in both formats last season and made a notable contribution in each fixture. "He now has a great opportunity to firmly establish himself across all three formats and become a mainstay of this Warwickshire team for many years." Sri Lanka Test squad for South Africa and England series

Sri Lanka have announced their squad for the Test series against South Africa and England. The 33-year-old allrounder Angelo Matthews will miss the Proteas' Tests through injury though he could yet return in 2021. South Africa to host Sri Lanka for Test series on December 26-30 and January 3-7 at Centurion and The Wanderers. England's postponed two Tests in Sri Lanka which will take place in Galle on January 14-18 and 22-26. Northamptonshire signs Mohammad Nabi for T20 Blast

Northamptonshire Cricket County Club have announced the signing of Afghanistan allrounder Mohammad Nabi for the 2021 edition of the T20 Blast. The 35-year-old has impressive numbers under his belt in the shortest format of the game.  The middle-order Afghan has featured in 78 T20 Internationals for his nation, scoring 1347 runs at an average of over 22 and strike rate of 145.3. In addition to that, the allrounder also has 69 scalps to his name. Northants will be Nabi's third county, after previous spells at Leicestershire and Kent in 2018 and 2019 respectively. England tour of Sri Lanka in January 2021

England to play two Test match series in Sri Lanka at the beginning of 2021. The series was scheduled to take place in March 2020, which was called off in wake of the COVID-19 outbreak. The two Tests match series will be held behind the closed doors, and both matches will be played at Galle International Stadium in Colombo. The last time England travelled to Sri Lanka two years ago when Joe Root had led the side to a 3-0 whitewash under tough conditions. South Africa vs England: The ODI series will begin on Sunday (December 6)

England's ODI series against South Africa will go ahead from Sunday after the hosts have tested negative for Covid-19. Melbourne Renegades sign Imad Wasim for second half of BBL 2020-21

Pakistan allrounder Imad Wasim has joined Melbourne Renegades for the second half of the 10the edition of Big Bash League. The 31-year-old will join the Renegades from Boxing Day onwards after the completion of T20I series between Pakistan and New Zealand in New Zealand.  "Imad is one of the best T20 players in the world with his ability to impact games with the ball and to finish the innings with the bat," Renegades coach Michael Klinger said . "He's an experienced player with recent title success, he's capable of bowling in the powerplay and he'll strengthen our middle-order batting." The BBL is scheduled to begin on December 10. Big Bash League: Dilbar Hussain joins Melbourne Stars

Melbourne Stars have announced the signing of fast bowler Dilbar Hussain for the 10th edition of the Big Bash League. The 27-year-old, who hails from Pakistan, will be available for the entire campaign, starting on 10 December. Hussain played for the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League alongside Stars wicket-keeper batsman Ben Dunk. “I’m very happy to be coming back to the Melbourne Stars for the Big Bash,” Hussain said . “In the short time I was with the club last season I learnt so much. I’d like to thank David Hussey who was incredibly supportive and encouraged me to keep working on my craft.” Hussain is currently completing the mandatory two weeks quarantine in West Australia and will be available for the Stars' on December 11 in Canberra.
