Northamptonshire signs Mohammad Nabi for T20 Blast

Northamptonshire Cricket County Club have announced the signing of Afghanistan allrounder Mohammad Nabi for the 2021 edition of the T20 Blast.

The 35-year-old has impressive numbers under his belt in the shortest format of the game. 

The middle-order Afghan has featured in 78 T20 Internationals for his nation, scoring 1347 runs at an average of over 22 and strike rate of 145.3. In addition to that, the allrounder also has 69 scalps to his name.

Northants will be Nabi's third county, after previous spells at Leicestershire and Kent in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
