Caribbean Premier League: Mohammad Amir to make his debut for Barbados Tridents

Former Pakistan seamer Mohammad Amir is ready to make his debut in the latest edition of the Caribbean Premier League, starting from August 28. The 29-year-old announced his retirement from international cricket in December last year, owing to his feud with Pakistan’s team management. The veteran speedster continues to feature in the various T20 leagues across the globe. He will now be available in the Caribbean Premier League as the left-arm pacer has been signed by Barbados Tridents for the ninth edition that kicks off in St Kitts & Nevis in August 2021.  Amir has claimed 59 wickets in 50 T20I for Pakistan.

Warwickshire's Craig Miles signs new contract until 2023

Warwickshire seamer Craig Miles has signed a two-year contract extension to keep him at Edgbaston until at least the end of the 2023 season. The 26-year-old has claimed 31 wickets in 11 first-class matches since joining the Bears in 2019. He scored 61 runs and took 10 wickets at an average of 25.5 in three appearances during the LV= Insurance County Championship this season. Miles made his first-class debut for Gloucestershire in 2011 and has since gone on to claim 286 wickets, with a further 69 wickets in white-ball cricket. Schedule: Sri Lanka vs India series 2021

The Indian cricket team India is set to visit Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series in July. The limited-overs leg will begin on July 13. BCCI postpones IPL 2021

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unanimously decided to postpone the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, with immediate effect. Following the recent Covid-19 scare, BCCI met IPL Governing Council on Tuesday in a meeting to announce the suspension of the tournament for indefinite period. “The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organising the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and wellbeing of all the stakeholders in mind,” the BCCI said in a press-release . It all started when the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier both were tested positive for the novel strain.  The latest victims of the virus have been Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Wriddhiman Saha, Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra and Chennai Super Kings's bowling coach L Balaji.

Zimbabwe Test squad for two match series against Pakistan

Zimbabwe have announced their 16-man Test squad which will be led by all-rounder Sean Williams. The first Test is slated to begin on April 29, while the second test is scheduled to play on May 7. IPL 2021: Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer ruled out of remaining season

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) left-arm seamer T Natarajan has been ruled out from the rest of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).  The 30-year-old left-armer will miss the current tournament after a serious knee injury. Natarajan has played only two matches for SRH this season, with two wickets. The Sunrisers will take on Delhi Capitals on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Sri Lanka 18-man Test squad for Bangladesh series

Sri Lanka Cricket have announced their 18-man Test squad for the upcoming home series against Bangladesh. The Test series is slated to begin on April 21 in Pallekele. The 33-year-old Angelo Mathews has made a come back to the Test team. He had pulled out during the ODI series in the West Indies, citing personal reasons.
