The West Indies batsman Chris Gayle has denied the rumours of his retirement from all forms of cricket following their World Cup quarter-final loss to New Zealand by 143 runs on Saturday at Wellington. The all-rounder, who has been suffering with his back problems in recent years, the 35-year-old Jamaican insists that he has no intentions to leave the cricket. "I definitely want to play the T20 World Cup next year for West Indies, there's no doubt about that.” the left-handed batsman told ESPNCricinfo . "I've got a few concerns and a few injury [cases] to try and solve. I'll give myself some time and hopefully look back at it and see how well I can actually progress for West Indies cricket at this point in time." Gayle will not be available during the upcoming Test series against England in April as he will be in rehabilitation in the aim of regaining full fitness.

Gloucestershire have announced their second overseas acquisition by completing the signing of Australian batsman Peter Handscomb. The 23-year-old, who plays for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League, will arrive at the County cricket ground for all three formats of the game. "It has always been an ambition of mine to play county cricket and I was delighted when Gloucestershire expressed an interest in me joining them," the former Australia Under-19 international told the club's official website . "I have heard good things about the players at Nevil Road and I am looking forward to meeting up with them in April." Peter will join the Gloucestershire with his new teammates in May.

Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has dismissed reports that he is going to retire from one-day international cricket. The 37-year-old has claimed that a tweet from a supposedly official Younis profile is a "fake" Twitter account, that was contemplating retirement. Good news for Pune and Chennai residents as the IPL Governing Council have announced that Pune and Chennai stadiums have been included to the list of host venues for the eighth season of Indian Premier League after having missed out in 2014 due to valid reasons. The 2015 Indian Premier League games will get underway on April 8, and the final match to be played on May 24, The IPL governing council have also announced the dates for the next two seasons.  The 2016 edition will be played between Apr 8-May 29, while the 2017 edition will commence on Apr 5-May 21.
