IPL 8: Pune and Chennai set to return as host venues

Good news for Pune and Chennai residents as the IPL Governing Council have announced that Pune and Chennai stadiums have been included to the list of host venues for the eighth season of Indian Premier League after having missed out in 2014 due to valid reasons.


The 2015 Indian Premier League games will get underway on April 8, and the final match to be played on May 24,

The IPL governing council have also announced the dates for the next two seasons. 

The 2016 edition will be played between Apr 8-May 29, while the 2017 edition will commence on Apr 5-May 21.

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28. Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad : Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Lasith Malinga, Upul Tharanga, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ajantha Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Kushal Perera, Akila Dananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Thisara Perera, Shaminda Eranga.
