Recently it was announced that auction for the 8th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will be held on 16th February, 2015. 
This year around more than 450 players have been registered for the IPL auction and franchisees would be looking to fill their teams with top class cricketers, who can be a great match winners.

Punjab Kings step up to acquire Ricky Ponting for IPL 2025

Ricky Ponting is reportedly close to signing a deal with Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2025, as per Cricbuzz. Having recently parted ways with Delhi Capitals, where he served as head coach for seven seasons, Ponting is expected to bring a wealth of experience and tactical expertise to Punjab.
