Sri Lanka Test squad for South Africa Tour

Sri Lankan batsman Thilan Samaraweera has been added to the 17th member of the touring squad for next month Test series against South Africa. In 68 Test matches, Samaraweera has scored 4,683 runs with an average of 52.61 with 12 centuries. Sri Lanka's Test squad : Tillakaratne Dilshan (capt), Tharanga Paranavitana, Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews (vice-capt), Dinesh Chandimal, Lahiru Thirimanne, Kaushal Silva, Kumar Sangakkara, Chanaka Welegedara, Nuwan Pradeep, Thisara Perera, Dilhara Fernando, Dimuth Karunaratne, Ajantha Mendis, Suranga Lakmal, Thilan Samaraweera and Rangana Herath.

Australian test squad against New Zealand

Australia's aggressive opener David Warner has been selected in the test team for series against New Zealand. Warner replaces all-rounder ShaneWatson . Mitchell Johnson , Patrick Cummins, Ryan Harris and Shaun Marsh have been ruled out from the test series due to injury. Australia's new fast bowling attack James Pattinson, Ben Cutting and Mitchell Starc have been included in the team. Squad : Michael Clarke (captain), David Warner, Phillip Hughes, Michael Hussey, Ricky Ponting , Usman Khawaja, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Starc, Peter Siddle, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson and Ben Cutting.

Indian Test Squad against Australia

The announcement of Indian cricket team for Australia tour in the Next month has been announced on Saturday. Best performance in the test series against West Indies, Off-spinner R Ashwin and left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha has been selected in the test team. Whereas, Harbhajan Singh and all-rounder Yuvraj Singh both were dropped out for tour of Australia. Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Varun Aaron, Ajinkya Rahane, Wriddhiman Saha and Zaheer Khan have been selected in the seventeen-Member test team. Squad : MS Dhoni (Capt. &wk), Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Praveen Kumar, R Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Pragyan Ojha, Varun Aaron, Ishant Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha and Zaheer Khan. 10 DEC UPDATE: Abhimanyu Mithun will replace injured Praveen Kumar Vinay Kumar replaces injured Varun Aaron

Dwayne Bravo play for Sydney Sixers in Big Bash Twenty-20

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is ready to play for Sydney Sixers in the upcoming KFC T20 Big Bash competition, Recently Bravo was sidelined with an ankle injury. Last year Bravo played for Victoria in the Big Bash League. Bravo will leave on Dec 10 for Australia to play Big Bash Twenty-20 League and returning Jan 7 to take part in the 2012 Caribbean Twenty20 championship. Bravo said: "I will be flying out to Australia for the Big Bash but this time around I will also be available for Trinidad & Tobago in the regional series, as we look to defend our title."

Sachin's Nervous Nineties Record

Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar once again missed the 100th ton in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai against West Indies. Recently in England tour, Sachin Tendulkar had missed 100th ton by only nine runs in the oval test. Sachin made his last test century against South Africa at Cape Town in January 2011. While in the ODI cricket sachin made his last century against South Africa in Nagpur in the World Cup 2011. Since then sachin has played 13 test innings and made four half centuries, but still 100th ton has yet to wait. In Nervous Nineties record, Sachin has been out 10 times in test Cricket, while 17 times in ODI .

Harbhajan wants to play 5-6 years more

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh said that he still can play 5-6 years more. He said he never ran from the competition.  " I think I can still contribute to the team, " said Harbhajan Singh.

Sri Lanka squad against South Africa tour

Ajantha Mendis has been involved in 16-member test squad for the South Africa tour in December. Fast bowler Dilhara Fernando has also been included in the test squad. He played his last test against England in June. Sri Lanka will play three-Test series against South Africa in Centurion starting from December 15 Test squad : Tillakaratne Dilshan (captain), Tharanga Paranavitana, Angelo Mathews (vice-captain), Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara, Kaushal Silva (wicketkeeper), Dinesh Chandimal, Dimuth Karunaratne, Dilhara Fernando, Lahiru Thirimanne, Nuwan Pradeep, Chanaka Welegedara, Thisara Perera, Suranga Lakmal, Ajantha Mendis and Rangana Herath

Mickey Arthur is the new coach of Australia

Mickey Arthur has been appointed Australia's coach after Tim Nielsen quit. Justin Langer and Tom Moody were also in the race of Australia's new coach but Arthur won the race. Arthur, was coached South Africa from 2005 until 2010. Since then he has worked with Western Australia Arthur said " I am honored and privileged to have another chance to coach an international team, particularly a team of the ilk of Australia. I think I bring a fresh, unblinkered eye to the role after plotting against Australia when coaching South Africa and having now worked within the Australian system with the Western Warriors. " "Australia has an abundance of cricket talent and I am confident the talent is there to ensure Australia is successful, " he added. The 43-year-old, Arthur (non-Australian) will start his coaching on December 1, Test against New Zealand in Brisbane.

Pakistan team against Bangladesh

Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Left arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz has not been selected in the squad. Young fast bowler Mohammad Talha will replace Riaz. Pakistan squad : Misbahul Haq (captain), Imran Farhat, Younis Khan, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, Umer Gul, Taufeeq Umer, Sarfraz Ahmed, Saeed Ajmal, Junaid Khan, Abdul Rehman, Umer Akmal, Aizaz Cheema & Asad Shafiq.

Kohli, Gambhir, Raina won CEAT rating award

India's middle order batsman Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli won the Ceat International Youngster of the Year 2011 and T20 Player of the Year awards on Saturday. Left handed opener batsman Gautam Gambhir won the Match-Winning Innings of the Year for his brilliant 97 runs against Sri Lanka on April 2, in the World Cup final at Wankhede Stadium . England batsman Jonathan Trott won two awards, international cricketer of the year and batsman of the year award. James Anderson won International Bowler of the Year award. Indian explosive batsman Virender sehwag and VVS Laxman both were honored with special award for their huge contribution to Indian cricket and for completing 10 years in international cricket. West Indies former fast bowler Courtney Walsh won the Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2010-11 season. All nine players receive the awards worth Rs 5lakh each and a trophy.
