Pakistan Test squad for South Africa in UAE

Pakistan Right-handed batsman Mohammad Hafeez has been ruled out for Test series against South Africa in the UAE. Fast bowler Mohammad Irfan has been added to 12-man squad, announced by the PCB. The board will expand the squad to 15 later.

  1. Mohammad Hafeez has played in each of Pakistan's last 23 Tests since November 2010, without having much success. To drop him was almost a 'national voice' and PCB had no other option despite of his great lobbying within Board circles, coach and captain.

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28. Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad : Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Lasith Malinga, Upul Tharanga, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ajantha Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Kushal Perera, Akila Dananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Thisara Perera, Shaminda Eranga.
