Sachin Tendulkar best Test player of 21st century

India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been named the best Test cricketer of the 21st century by by Cricket Australia's website. An online poll conducted by CA website, in which the 42-year-old bagged the highest number of votes to become on top of the list of the 100 best Test players since 2000. Sri Lanka's Wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakkara received the second highest votes, followed by Australian legend Adam Gilchrist in the third position. Tendulkar earned 23% of votes, while Sangakkara got 14% votes. The former India skipper, Tendulkar, is the only Indian player to be listed in the top-10 list, while there are four Aussie, three South African and two Sri Lankan cricketers. 5 Pakistan players to watch out for the Sri Lanka tour

Pakistan will play three Tests followed by five ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals against Sri Lanka, starting June 17 in Colombo. The international bilateral series, considered as one of the longest series during summer 2015 and both teams will battle it out during the hottest weather of the season. Sangakkara to announce retirement after first India Test?

The Legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara is expected to retire from Test cricket in August 2015, when Sri Lanka will play their first Test against India at Galle, starting August 18th. Sangakkara, 37, who already announced his retirement form one-day internationals and Twenty20 format, is likely to finalise his decision on his Test cricket future after having a meeting with the national selectors next week. The Test match series for the India yet to be formally announced, amid speculation that wicketkeeper’s farewell match to be played to his home city of Kandy. The world No.1 test batsman has scored 12203 runs at 58.66 in 130 Tests, including 11 Test match double centuries to his name.

England batting line-up made a stunning 210-run victory over the world cup finalist New Zealand by striking their highest ever score in an one-day internationals at Edgbaston. It was England's widest margin of victory, when the hosts scored 408-9, then bowled the kiwis out for 198 with more than 18 overs to spare.  The five-match ODI series continues at The Oval on Friday. England wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter retires after eye injury

England and Somerset wicket-keeper Craig Kieswetter has took retirement from all forms of cricket with an immediate effect due to a serious eye injury, sustained last summer. The 27-year-old gloveman suffered an injury to his eye through his helmet grille when a ball hit him while batting in a County Championship match against Northants in July 2014. The South-African born cricketer has played 46 ODIs and 25 Twenty20 internationals for England, but was never played at Test level. England ODI squad to face New Zealand 2015

England have announced their 14-man ODI squad to face New Zealand starting next Tuesday, with the star players - James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Moeen Ali and Ian Bel have been left out to concentrate on Test cricket ahead of the Ashes that begins on July 8. Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid has been restored in place of Moeen, 27, who will return to play Championship cricket for Worcestershire in order to find his Test form. He may be retained as primary spinner for the Ashes but claimed only five wickets at 50.00 in the recent two Tests against New Zealand. The 14-man squad will be led by Middlesex skipper Eoin Morgan.
