Australia - Ryan Harris sidelined for up to 8 weeks

Cricket Australia announced, paceman Ryan Harris has been sidelined for up to eight weeks with a hamstring injury. Harris is the australia's leading wicket-taker in the recent Ashes test series in England. Harris got the injury during the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval in London to his right hamstring. The 33-year-old Harris has took 71 wickets in 16 Tests at 22.26 since his debut against New Zealand in Wellington in March 2010.

England Squad for Australia one-day series

England have announced 14-man squad for the five-match one-day international series against Australia starting from next month. Eoin Morgan will be the captain in Cook's absence, while for the first time pace bowlers Chris Jordan and Jamie Overton are included in an England squad. " Following a very intense period of cricket this summer we have decided to rest a number of senior players which will allow them to recover from a heavy workload over the last three months and to prepare for the tour of Australia which begins in eight weeks, " national selector Geoff Miller said in a statement. The first ODI will take place on Sept. 6 at Headingley. DRS controversy Right from the first Test. The Decision Review System created a lot of controversies from both teams. Broad staying The decision made by Stuart Broad not to walk after clearly edging the ball in the first Test created a lot hype between the two teams. Opener batsman Tino Mawoyo has been recalled to Zimbabwe's 20-man squad for the upcoming series against Pakistan . County Cricket - Jarvis sign Lancashire

Zimbabwe fast bowler Kyle Jarvis , who recently announced his retirement from international cricket , has now signed Lancashire on a three-year-deal. " I am delighted to be joining Lancashire on a three-year contract, as playing county cricket has been an ambition of mine for a number of years and the opportunity to forge a career in England was one that was too good to miss, " Jarvis said. The 24-year-old, Jarvis made his international debut in 2009, played 24 ODIs, took 27 wickets at an average of 45.22.

Monty Panesar joins Essex

England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar has joined Essex for the remainder of the season. Panesar was fined by police for being drunk and disorderly earlier this month after urinating on bouncers following a night out in Brighton and has not played for Sussex since. He was left out of England's squad for the final Ashes Test at The Oval when, under normal circumstances, he would have been expected to be included with England naming two spinners. "I have endured a challenging time this year off the field and my frustrations have sometimes got the better of me professionally," Panesar said in statement. "I apologise for letting the club, my colleagues and my fans down. "I am grateful to Sussex for allowing me to be released from my contract for 2014 and 2015 in order to explore other opportunities to further develop my cricket. Ryder banned for six months

New Zealand all-rounder Jesse Ryder has been banned for six months after failing a drug test in March. The 29-year-old underwent a routine drug test during a Ford Trophy match in March, for which he returned a positive test. Ryder was informed of the result on April 12 and attended a hearing in front of the Sports Tribunal of New Zealand earlier this month, where the ban was handed down. The batsman will not contest the decision of the tribunal.

Ashes 2013 - England squad for finale test

England have announced 14-man squad for the finale ashes test against Australia at The Oval starts on Wednesday. The uncapped duo all-rounder Chris Woakes from Warwickshire and left-arm spinner Simon Kerrigan from Lancashire have been included to the squad. Zimbabwe - Fast bowler Kyle Jarvis retires

Zimbabwe fast bowler Kyle Jarvis the taken retirement from international cricket. Jarvis has accepted a county offer and opted out of the upcoming series against Pakistan. A statement issued by Jarvis said: " I have held off a few opportunities over the last few months but my decision was made about a week ago when the pay disputes arose and I felt my time to leave had come. "I have retired from international cricket to pursue a county and global T20 career. We have had a few teams interested but me and my agents have agreed on a three-year deal at a top English county. "I really hope the fans and public can understand my reasons for leaving, as job security is the main factor. I informed my team-mates yesterday that I would be leaving and they were supportive and fully understood why I was doing this. Essex sign Gautam Gambhir

County club, Essex have signed Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir for the remainder of the season of County Championship . The 31-year-old opener batsman will replace the New Zealand opener Hamish Rutherford, who will be heading home to prepare for New Zealand's domestic and international season. Gambhir is expected to play match against Northamptonshire in Colchester, on August 20. "We are delighted with the signing of Gautam Gambhir, " Essex head coach Paul Grayson said. "He is a player with pedigree, which has been showcased on the biggest stages. He will no doubt bring his experience to the squad during an important stage of the season for us." Gambhir is the first Indian player, who signed for a county in this season. Last year, Harbhajan Singh represented Essex .

CPL - Jayawardene set to join T&T Red Steel

The Sri Lanka batsman Mahela Jayawardene is set to join the Trinidad & Tobago in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League . The 36-year-old will replace South Africa's Davy Jacobs, who was ruled out following an injury. He will be the second Sri Lanka player to play in the CPL, with Muttiah Muralitharan turning out for the Jamaica Tallawahs. Jawayardene joins Ross Taylor and Kevin O'Brien as one of the franchise's overseas players.

County Cricket - Hashim Amla joins Surrey

Surrey have announced the signing of the South Africa batsman Hashim Amla for the final six championship games. Amla to replace his national team-mate JP Duminy, who will be play in the Champions League T20 to be held in India during September. " The Oval holds a lot of fond memories for me personally, " said Amla, " I look forward to returning there this year and hopefully enjoying similar success. " The 30-year-old Amla is became the fourth South African to be linked with Surrey in this year. " The dressing room was very, very happy, " Stewart said " We've had two high-class batters already in Smith and in Ponting and now we've got a third one. But we can't just rely on the one man, we've got to make sure the whole team performs so that we get some wins on the board . " Amla will make his debut with Surrey on August 22 against Durham at Chester-le-Street.

Australia have announced their 18-man squad for the limited-overs series starting from Aug 29. Right-arm leg spinner, Fawad Ahmed has been included to the squad and likely to debut for Australia. Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has also been included and should play his first ODIs in three years, while Doherty and the allrounder Mitchell Marsh were dropped from the squad. Yorkshire sign Kane Williamson

Yorkshire have confirmed the signing of New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson for the last five games of the County Championship . Williamson is likely to be available for the match against Nottinghamshire on August 21 at Trent Bridge, and will remain with the team until the end of the season. Yorkshire are currently leading Division One with 158 points from 11 games. Williamson, a regular player in New Zealand's Test side over the past three years, has played 25 Tests and scored 1385 runs at an average of 31.47. He also has previous county experience with Gloucestershire as an overseas player in 2011 and 2012. NZ Cricket - Bruce Edgar as National Selector

Former left-handed opener Bruce Edgar have been appointed national selector by the New Zealand Cricket on Tuesday. Edgar, 56, will join head coach Mike Hesson to select teams for all formats of the game. " Bruce is highly respected within the cricket fraternity and he was a very successful player both on and off the field, " NZC chief executive David White said in a statement. " He is considered, methodical and logical with exceptionally good attention to detail. " A veteran of 39 tests and 64 one-dayers, Edgar said he was looking forward to working with Hesson ahead of the 2015 World Cup. Former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid said that cricket made him a better person. " One and half years after my retirement I have realised that cricket has made me a better human. I learnt from successes and failures, " Dravid said. " After Australia tour I felt it is time to make way for the next generation. Now I am back to the little boy listening to cricket commentary in my father's studio, " said Dravid, who dubbed himself as a boy from a middle-class family. Australian left-handed opening batsman, Chris Rogers feels relieved after putting a maiden Test century on board in the fourth Ashes match against England at Chester-le-Street. Australia were 222 for five on Saturday's second day, only 16 runs behind Host's first innings 238, with Rogers 101 not out and Brad Haddin unbeaten on 12. Prior to this series, The 35-year-old Rogers, who had spent five years in the international wilderness following his debut in 2008. Stuart Law appointed coach for Queensland and Brisbane Heat

Former Australian batsman, Stuart Law has been appointed the new coach of Queensland Bulls and Brisbane Heat for the next three seasons. Law, 44, who took his retirement in 2009, since then he has built up plenty of coaching experience with the Bangladesh national team and for a short term period with Sri Lanka after the 2011 World Cup. He was also coach of the Australia Under-19 side and batting coach of the senior team last year, and was assistant coach of the women's team that won the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka. England left-arm spinner, Monty Panesar has been dropped from the England squad for the fourth Ashes Test after urinating on nightclub bouncers. According to the Daily Express, the Sussex county player, who relieved himself on the bouncers after being thrown out of the popular Shooshh club at Brighton following a harassment complaint, now faces the prospect of sanctions from his county club Sussex. The 31-year-old had to pay a £90 fine to the police after the incident, for which he has reportedly apologised, with Sussex confirming that they had launched an investigation into the incident. The incident took place in the early hours of Monday morning as Panesar's colleagues were taking rest before the final day of the third Ashes, although Panesar had been included in the 14-man squad but did not play in the Old Trafford match . Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf has announced his retirement from all forms of umpiring duties due to his personal commitments. As per the report mention on 'Express' newspaper read: " Rauf had made up his mind to retire from all forms of umpiring. " Rauf wanted to give quality time to his family and for his private business. Cricket Australia called on the ICC to clarify why Usman Khawaja was given out on first day of third Ashes Test.
