New Zealand have announced their 15-member ODI squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in Australia, starting September 6. The right-arm fast-medium bowler Matt Henry has returned to the squad after missing the West Indies tour due to a rib injury.  However, Kyle Jamieson and Adam Milne weren’t considered in the ODI setup due to their respective injuries. Pakistan will host 7 T20Is and 3 Test matches, starting from September 20.  Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have confirmed the schedule for their three-match Test series against England in December.  The first test will begin in Rawalpindi on December 1 and then move to Multan for the second Test. The series will end with the third Test in Karachi. The test-match series will be the second leg of a tour that starts with a seven-match T20I series in September-October. Afghanistan have announced their squad for the Asia Cup, to be played on August 27 in the UAE .  The veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi will lead the side for Asia Cup 2022. Middle-order batsman Najibullah Zadran has been named vice-captain for the tournament.  Afghanistan, placed in Group B, will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka on August 27. The latest edition of Asia Cup 2022 will be hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket in the United Arab of Emirates. Earlier, Sri Lanka was supposed to host the tournament on their home grounds, but due to a shortage of fuel and food alongside record inflation, they have moved to UAE. Six teams will participate in the Asia Cup. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have earned a direct ticket for the tournament while the remaining team will book its berth through the qualification round. UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore will compete for the 6th spot, which will begin on August 20.  Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium will host all the matches. The championship is slated to begin on August 27 in the T20 format. India to face Pakistan on August 28.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes has decided to hang up his boots from ODI cricket. The 31-year-old will bid farewell to the 50-over format after the opening match of the ODI leg against South Africa on Tuesday at his home ground – the Riverside. It will be Stokes’ 105th game for the country in the 50-over format. Sri Lanka's domestic T20 cricket - The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022 is scheduled to start with the league phase on August 1 and final match to be played on August 21.  The tournament will have five teams with the likes of Colombo Stars, Dambulla Giants, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Kings and Kandy Falcons. Pakistan Cricket Board have announced their T20I tri-series schedule, starting on 7 October against Bangladesh and New Zealand on the following day. The number-three ranked Pakistan will travel to New Zealand from 7-14 October as part of their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Australia 2022 preparations.
