Asia Cup 2022 in UAE - Venues Confirmed

The latest edition of Asia Cup 2022 will be hosted by Sri Lanka Cricket in the United Arab of Emirates.

Earlier, Sri Lanka was supposed to host the tournament on their home grounds, but due to a shortage of fuel and food alongside record inflation, they have moved to UAE.

Six teams will participate in the Asia Cup. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have earned a direct ticket for the tournament while the remaining team will book its berth through the qualification round.

UAE, Kuwait, Hong Kong and Singapore will compete for the 6th spot, which will begin on August 20. 

Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium will host all the matches.

The championship is slated to begin on August 27 in the T20 format.

India to face Pakistan on August 28.

Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad for Australia

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28. Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad : Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Lasith Malinga, Upul Tharanga, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ajantha Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Kushal Perera, Akila Dananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Thisara Perera, Shaminda Eranga.
