Yorkshire have announced the signing of Sri Lanka left-handed batsman Dimuth Karunaratne. The 33-year-old has joined the county outfit for the next three Championship matches. He will debut on Thursday against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road. The Lankan skipper will also play games against Kent at Headingley and Essex at Chelmsford. Karunaratne has scored 5,620 runs in 76 Tests for Sri Lanka. New Zealand pacer Hamish Bennett has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.  The 35-year-old, who made his international debut in October 2010, has played one Test, 19 ODIs and 11 T20Is. Bennett has claimed 489 wickets and established himself as one of the most reliable bowlers in the country.

The right-handed batsman Rajat Patidar has joined Royal Challengers Bangalore for a price of INR 20 lakh. The 28-year-old, who had previously represented RCB four times, will replace the injured Luvnith Sisodia for the remainder of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL).  Patidar has so far played 31 T20s and has scored 861 runs with the help of 7 half-centuries. India to visit Ireland for two T20 Internationals in Malahide on June 26 and June 28. Cricket Ireland has confirmed that the Indian cricket team would be touring the country for a short two-match T20I series in June. However, the series will not have India's top players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah. "This summer will be a 'Season of Stars' as India, New Zealand and Afghanistan tour Ireland, while we will play South Africa in Bristol.
