Middlesex: Andrew Strauss joins executive board

Former England skipper Andrew Strauss has joined Middlesex County Cricket Club's executive board, the club's official website announced.

Strauss, 37, the Ex-batsman for the Middlesex replaces Paul Downton.

"We are absolutely thrilled that Andrew has accepted our invitation to join the board," Middlesex chairman Ian Lovett told.
"He is a Middlesex man through and through, with an outstanding reputation within the game.
"Finding the right man to replace Paul Downton was always going to prove a challenge. However, in Andrew Strauss, we've found the perfect solution."
Strauss played for the club for 14 years and made his first-class debut for Middlesex in 1998.

The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
