The veteran Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara has signed Durham on a short-term deal for the next two rounds of County Championship matches.
Sangakkara, 36, will play the upcoming LV=County Championship clash against Yorkshire and Sussex next month.
"I'm really looking forward to returning to county cricket with Durham and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity," the left-hander told the club's official website.
Sangakkara has scored more than 25,000 runs for his nation across all three formats.
