The veteran Sri Lanka batsman Kumar Sangakkara has signed Durham on a short-term deal for the next two rounds of County Championship matches.
Sangakkara, 36, will play the upcoming LV=County Championship clash against Yorkshire and Sussex next month.
"I'm really looking forward to returning to county cricket with Durham and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity," the left-hander told the club's official website.
Sangakkara has scored more than 25,000 runs for his nation across all three formats.

Following signing the contract with Durham, it will be Sangakkara's second stint in county cricket, who has represented Warwickshire in 2007."I'm really looking forward to returning to county cricket with Durham and I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity," the left-hander told the club's official website.
