Former Captain of NZ Daniel Vettori has signed Brisbane Heat and become the first international signing for this season in Big Bash League. He agreed on a three-year deal.
Vettori said, "I had a really good time last season, They were a great bunch of blokes led by a top coach in Darren Lehmann and his support staff, which made for a very enjoyable environment to play cricket in. It was a pretty easy decision to make to come back. It's another chance to play in front of the fans at the Gabba which is a great ground."
The head coach of Brisbane Heat, Darren Lehmann said, "Vettori was an important member of the squad last season, when the Heat finished fifth and narrowly missed a place in the semi-finals."
