Pakistan Cricket Board are hopeful of hosting The Pakistan Super League (PSL), their domestic T20 tournament to Pakistan this year. International teams refused to tour Pakistan after Sri Lanka was targeted by terrorists in 2011. However, West Indies and Zimbabwe went for short series in the United Arab Emirates as Pakistan's home ground. On Friday, PCB have made an announcement that they wanted to host all games of their domestic T20 tournament in the country. PCB chairperson Ehsan Mani expressed hope that teams like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will tour Pakistan this year as the inauguration of the ICC Test Championship. According to Geo.TV , Heads of Cricket Australia and England and Wales Cricket Board will be traveling Pakistan this year. Pakistan to host the Asia Cup 2020 although it could be held in the UAE, since India would not want to visit to Pakistan.

Former England left-arm spinner Monty Panesar expressed his desire to return to cricket having been cured of the “paranoia/schizophrenia” which sidelined him over the past few years. Panesar, 37, who was an England regular at his peak taking 167 wickets in 50 Tests — told The Daily Mail he can earn a return to first-class cricket despite being without a club since 2016. South African left-handed batsman JP Duminy has decided to retire from first-class and List A cricket. The all-rounder represented the Cobras in South Africa’s domestic cricket league and the news was confirmed by the team head-coach, Ashwell Prince on Friday.  In his List A career, Duminy has scored 7,408 runs with an average of 38.78. Whereas in T20 cricket he scored 6,106 runs in 252 matches, which makes him the highest run-scorer for the Proteas of the game. Duminy, however, will continue to ply his trade in the shortest format of the game across the globe. The 35-year-old has represented the Proteas in 46 Tests, 194 ODIs and 81 T20Is. South Africa to begin their 2019 World Cup campaign against India on June 5.

New Zealand all-rounder Scott Kuggeleijn will join Indian Premier League outfit Chennai Super Kings, replacing injured South African seamer Lungi Ngidi, who has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament. Kuggeleijn, 27, made his T20 debut for Black Caps this year, having first played One-Day International two years ago. The controversial kiwi has faced two trials over charges of raping a woman in 2015. But his selection in the national team this year was highly shocking as a result, and he faced a hostile welcome from fans and commentators. Kuggeleijn is expected to join the defending champions next week. Super Kings are currently 2nd in the league table, behind Kolkata Knight Riders.

Former Australian captain Steve Smith and former vice-captain David Warner re-joined the national cricket team for the first time since they were suspended for their roles in a ball-tampering scandal in South Africa last March. The Left-handed batsman John Campbell has been called up to the West Indies ODI squad for next week’s first two matches against England. Carlos Brathwaite and Sheldon Cottrell have both also been included to the 14-man squad. It is going to be Campbell’s first call-up for limited over cricket. The 25-year-old Jamaican born batsman made his test debut in the recent series against England, in which the Caribbean won 2-1. Campbell has scored 176 runs at an average of 35.2. Brathwaite has played 28 ODIs and 35 Twenty20 internationals for West Indies. Cottrell, a left-arm seamer, has made six ODIs appearances and 10 Twenty20 internationals. The first two ODIs of the four-match series will be held at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Wednesday and Friday.

The veteran Australian cricketer Michael Klinger will retire from the Big Bash League (BBL) at the end of the season. The 38-year-old, who is currently the second highest run-scorer in the history of BBL, will officially finish up with the Perth Scorchers at the end of the ongoing season. Klinger has been an integral part of the Scorchers for a long time now. But the right-handed batsman endured his worst season this term, scoring just 115 runs in nine innings at a strike-rate of 83.33. However, he will be playing for Gloucestershire in the T20 Blast this year. It will be his seventh season with the county and has also been appointed the captain of the team. Klinger will be playing his last BBL game against the Melbourne Stars on Sunday night in front of a home crowd at Perth.
