The wicketkeeper-batsman Johnson Charles has been included to the West Indies squad for the ICC World Twenty20, that will be played in India from March 8. The 27-year-old was picked by the selectors to replace Darren Bravo, who withdrew to focus on Test cricket.  Charles has played 23 T20 Internationals and was member of the West Indies cricket team which won the ICC World T20 in Sri Lanka in 2012. West Indies will begin their World T20 campaign against England on March 16. The Former Test cricketers Shane Watson, Mike Hussey and Brad Haddin are among the 23 Australians in the run for the 2016 Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 player draft next week. Former Sri Lankan Test skipper Mahela Jayawardene has joined the Adelaide Strikers on a one-year deal for this year’s Big Bash League (BBL) campaign. The 38-year-old veteran, who scored 11,814 runs at an average of 49.84 in 149 Tests, will replace West Indian Kieron Pollard, who has been sidelined with a knee injury. "Mahela is a champion of the game and is without a doubt one of the greatest batsman to play cricket in the modern era," Strikers coach Jason Gillespie said . "Having played against him myself, I'm fully aware of the type of damage he can do, so it'll be exciting to have him on our side this time."
