Hampshire sign Kyle Abbott for 2014 season

Hampshire have completed the signing of South African bowler Kyle Abbott for the 2014 entire season.

The 26-year-old, who has played only four matches for his country across all formats and will join the county side against Gloucestershire on April 13.

"To have a bowler of Kyle's quality available for the entire 2014 campaign is a huge boost to the squad," Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said. "He comes highly recommended both as a player and a person and we look forward to him joining up with the squad in April."

Abbott has sensational first-class record in which he too 165 wickets at 21.92.

The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
