Leicestershire snap up Australian batsman Peter Handscomb

Australian middle-order batsman Peter Handscomb has signed with the English county team Leicestershire for the first two months of their upcoming campaign.  The 31-year-old Victorian batsman has scored 145 runs at an average of 29 during the recent Indian series. He will be standing in for Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane, who will not be available due to his commitment to the 16th edition of Indian Premier League with the Chennai Super Kings.  Handscomb is well-acquainted with English conditions, having previously played for several English county teams such as Durham, Gloucestershire, Middlesex, and Yorkshire.
