Middlesex: James Harris pens new two-year contract

Middlesex right arm fast bowler James Harris has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract extension, the county have announced.

Harris, 25, who arrived at Lord's from Glamorgan in 2013, has claimed 36 wickets at an average of 21.55 this season.

"I am thrilled to have signed an extension to my current contract with Middlesex. I've been really pleased with my form in the early part of this season and am looking forward to this continuing for Middlesex for the remainder of this season and in years to come," The Welshman told the club's official website.

The director of cricket Angus Fraser added: "It has been great to watch James perform as well as he has this season. He has played a huge role in the club making a strong start to the season. "The previous two summers have been tough for him but he continued to work exceptionally hard at his game and he is now getting the rewards his dedication deserves. James is the sort of character and cricketer that every team wants."

Harris will be available for Middlesex until the end of 2017 English domestic cricket season and his new contract will automatically be extended for a further year if an agreed criteria have been met.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia.
