India’s middle-order batsman Virat Kohli became the fifth youngest captain for Indian Cricket Team in Test cricket, when he captained for the first test against Australia at Adelaide on Tuesday.
Kohli, 26, who made his Test debut against West Indies at Kingston, 2011. He has scored 1855 runs in 26 test matches with an average of 39.46.
Here is the list of top five young captains for India in Test Cricket:
Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi at the age of 21 years.
Sachin Tendulkar at the age of 23 years.
Kapil Dev at the age of 24 years.
Ravi Shastri at the age of 25 years.
