England batsman Joe Root has been sidelined of World T20 with a fractured thumb injury, reports ESPN.
The 23-year-old right-handed batsman picked up the injury during the final ODI win over the West Indies in Antigua last Wednesday.

Bell played his last T20Is against Australia in Melbourne in January 2011. In his T20 career, he has played seven T20 with an average 29.16.
England to play their first Twenty20 World Cup match against New Zealand on March 22 at Chittagong.
