England to host World Cup 2019

Here at Dubai, The ICC and ECB have signed the agreement to host the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales.

The tournament is expected to be played at 10 venues, throughout the june 2019 with 10 teams only.

The 1999 world cup was hosted in the England. The 2004 Champions Trophy and second edition of the World Twenty20, in 2009, were also staged in the UK.

ICC Chief Executive David Richardson added: "The World Cup attracts a broadcast audience in excess of 1.5 billion people and is one of the premier events in world cricket. England and Wales boasts a number of high quality cricket venues providing players, officials and spectators with excellent facilities. We look forward to working with the ECB to deliver an outstanding tournament."

IPL Spot-fixing, Sreesanth and 2 other Rajasthan Royals players held

Three Rajasthan Royals players, Sreesanth , Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were arrested on Thursday for their alleged involvement in spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 6. Eleven bookies have also been arrested from Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The police are on the look-out for two more bookies. A Delhi court has sent the three players and all bookies to five-day police custody. The players, who have been suspended by the BCCI, have been brought to Delhi and charged under Section 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy).
