Herschelle Gibbs Signs Caribbean Premier League


The 39-year-old South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs has signed Caribbean Premier League starting from July 29.


"I am really looking forward to playing in the first CPL. I love the Caribbean and have great memories of touring there. The people are lovely and although each nation is different, they all have that same warmth and charm that makes everyone want to go there," said Gibbs.

"Many of the West Indies players have become my friends over the years and playing alongside them in their home countries will really be special."

Gibbs joins fellow international stars Ricky Ponting, Adam Gilchrist, Ross Taylor and Mohammad Hafeez as big-name signings for the tournament.

Gibbs in his 15 years of international career played 90 Tests, 248 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 23 T20Is.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia.
