WV Raman Kings XI assistant Coach


The former India opener WV Raman has been named assistant coach of Kings XI Punjab in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. It will be his first assignment in this tournament and he will be incrporated with head coach Darren Lehmann.


Raman had played 11 Tests and 27 ODIs for India and has plenty of domestic coaching experience.

Raman said he looked forward to his new assignment. "Kings XI Punjab has the right mix of experienced as well as young players supported by a world class coaching staff and I shall do my best to get the best out of the players."

Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad for Australia

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
