Scott Styris joins Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League


Former New Zealand all-rounder Scott Styris has signed Hobart Hurricanes to play in Australia's Big Bash Twenty20.


Styris said, "I'm enjoying my involvement in franchise T20 cricket around the world and have always enjoyed the challenge of playing in Australia against Australians."

The 37-year-old retired from international cricket last year after playing 29 Tests, 188 one-day internationals and 31 Twenty20 matches for New Zealand.

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
