Sohail Tanvir signs Worcestershire


Pakistan fast bowler, Sohail Tanvir has joined Worcestershire for Friends Life t20, taking the place of Saeed Ajmal due to international commitments.


In his Twenty20 career, Tanvir has taken 83 wickets.

Director of Worcestershire, Steve Rhodes said, "Sohail is an ideal replacement for Saeed Ajmal because Saeed was a tremendous bowler at the death and this is the type of role we want Sohail to play. Added to his bowling skills, he also has the ability to hit the ball hard which is an obvious asset at the end of our innings."

Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad for Australia

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28.
