New Zealand Test squad against South Africa


All-rounder Andrew Ellis and Batsman Rob Nicol have been included in New Zealand's test squad against South Africa. Nicol and Ellis have both have yet to make a test debut.

Jesse Ryder was ruled out of the squad because of his poor form.


The first Test will be held at University Oval on March 7 in Dunedin.

New Zealand Test Squad: Ross Taylor (captain), Doug Bracewell, Martin Guptill, Brent Arnel, Rob Nicol, Chris Martin, Daniel Vettori, Trent Boult, BJ Watling, Brendon McCullum, Andrew Ellis, Kane Williamson and Tim Southee.

Ricky Ponting is reportedly close to signing a deal with Punjab Kings ahead of IPL 2025, as per Cricbuzz.
