Marsh and Bichel Australia's new selector


Melbourne, Friday, November 11, 2011

Cricket Australia (CA) announced that former Test wicketkeeper Rod Marsh and Andy Bichel will become new part time selector in the five member panel.

In the new selection Committee Marsh and Bichel will join chairman John Inverarity and current Captain Michael Clarke.

Each Member of the Panel have been part of the national team. Bichel played 19 Tests between 1996 and 2004.

Marsh said "I'm excited to be back working for Cricket Australia. It's been a decade since I last worked for CA."

Bichel said "I'm really looking forward to working with John (Inverarity), Rod (Marsh), Michael (Clarke), Cameron (Australia Twenty20 captain Cameron White) and the incoming head coach as we continue to take Australian cricket in the right direction."

Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad for Australia

Sri Lanka have announced a 16-man squad for the one-day and Twenty20 matches against Australia. The one-day series will be held from from January 11-23 across Australia, and the two T20 internationals will be played in Sydney on January 26 and Melbourne on January 28. Sri Lanka ODI, T20 squad : Mahela Jayawardene (captain), Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Lasith Malinga, Upul Tharanga, Lahiru Thirimanne, Ajantha Mendis, Jeevan Mendis, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nuwan Kulasekara, Rangana Herath, Kushal Perera, Akila Dananjaya, Suranga Lakmal, Thisara Perera, Shaminda Eranga.
