Man of the Tournament Series in Champions League 2011


Chennai, Monday, October 10, 2011

Mumbai Indians fast bowler Lasith Malinga, awarded The Golden Ball of the Champions League Twenty-20 Cricket Tournament with the most wicket taker in the entire series, Malinga also awarded with the title of Man of The Tournament.


Malinga took 10 wickets in 6 matches in the tournament. Though, Caribbean team Trinidad Tobago fast bowler Ravi Rampaul took 12 wickets and his own team-mate Sunil Narayan took 10 wickets but these total wickets are including the qualifier matches.

Malinga best performance in the tournament was 4 wickets with 20 runs against somerset in the semifinal, with an average of 11.70
