ICC Introduce New Cricket Rules implemented from Oct 1


These rules will implement into action from the England tour of India starting on October 14 five-match ODI series.

The New Set of Rules are:

*2 Balls Use in an innings – for only ODI’s
*Field Obstruction – applicable in all 3 formats i.e. Test’s Odi’s and T20
*Powerplay Rule
*Option of Runner has been removed
*Penalty Time has been introduced
*If the bowler fails to run out the Non-striker then Dead ball shall be given.
*Extra Time in Tests shall be given before Lunch or Tea depending upon the position of the match only if requested by the captain
*If batting team is 9 wickets down, then interval can be delayed for a max of 30 minutes.
*The minimum interval for an uninterrupted ODI (one day international) match has been increased from 20 mins to 30 mins.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia. Bracken took his retirement in January and could not play the entire 2010 season last year due to injury. According to the report of Daily Telegraph Bracken is seeking about $1 million from CA.
