Ambrose, Davidson, Belinda Clark has been included into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame


London, Monday, September 12, 2011

Australian Former fast bowler Alan Davidson and former West Indian fast bowler Curtly Ambrose and former Australian female batsman Belinda Clark to be included into ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

The ICC and the Federation of international cricketers (FICA) today announced that Davidson, Ambrose and the late former Australian fast bowler Frederick Spofforth included in the list of Hall of Fame, now total players joining in this list is of 63. Belinda Clark is the second women's player to be included in this list.

Today, Davidson, Clark and Ambrose participated in the ceremony.

Davidson, from 1953 to 1963 in 44 test matches took 186 wickets and scored 1328 in his career. After the retirement of Davidson, Australian team struggled and only won a single test series in the next four years.

82-year-old Davidson said when I was nine years old, my dream was to play for Australia. when I was choosed to play, I was very happy.


Ambrose was known for the most dangerous fast bowler of his generation. in his test career he took 405 wickets with an average of 20.99, Furthermore in 176 ODI with an average of 24.12 he gained 225 wickets.

Ambrose said privately to be included in the Hall of Fame is honour for me. In cricket history, many great cricketers are the part of this elite group and I am very happy to be a part of this.

Clark, Australian women's team won five World Cup in her captaincy.

Clark, in her career played 15 test matches with more than an average of 50. while in ODI she played 118 ODIwith an average 40 runs per innings. she became the first one-day international cricket player to score a double-century (both male and female), when she scored 229 runs against Denmark in Mumbai in 1997 and she took retirement in 2005 though she  has the highest ODI runs record of 4844.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia. Bracken took his retirement in January and could not play the entire 2010 season last year due to injury. According to the report of Daily Telegraph Bracken is seeking about $1 million from CA. The hearing of the case in the court on November 30
