Ponting surprised Katich is not in contracted list

Former Test captain Ricky Ponting said that senior batsman Simon Katich out of 25 players contracted to Cricket Australia's decision are stunning.


Ponting said Katich has every right to criticize the deal with the selectors and Cricket Australia .He should not be condemned for Katich.

He said yesterday during a program on TV, "to be out of contract players was a big blow for him.I was shocked that Why he was not elected. "Ponting said, "In the past two to three years,he played quite well."
