Australia's fielding coach Steve Rixon

Australia's former Test wicketkeeper Steve Rixon was appointed fielding coach of the national cricket team of Australia. Rixon will take the place of American Mike Young, the Coach of Deccan Chargers in Indian Premier League and now working with South Africa.

On behalf of Australia, Rixon Played 13 Tests and six one-day matches. Cricket Australia chief executive Michael Brown said "Rixon will join the Australian team During the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka and South Africa."


Rixon said I am excited by this appointment and the two next visits, I am keen to work with the Australian team.
He said, Fielding skills plays a key role in the modern game and most of the time proves the difference between winning and losing.
Rixon who retired in 1988, He is also the fielding coach of Chennai SuperKings in IPL

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia. Bracken took his retirement in January and could not play the entire 2010 season last year due to injury. According to the report of Daily Telegraph Bracken is seeking about $1 million from CA.
