Australian vs Sri Lanka Schedule 2011


Colombo, Monday, 13 June 2011

Australian Team in August-September tour of Sri Lanka will play two Twenty20 matches, three Tests and five one-day matches. Sri Lankan Cricket Board announced on Monday.
Two Twenty20 international matches, the first one-day and second Test will be held at Candy's newly built stadium Pallekele, and two one-day matches will be held at Hambantota.The first Test match will be held in Galle & the third in Colombo.

The program is as follows:

Aug 6: 1st T20, Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy
Aug 8: 2nd T20, Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy
Aug 10: 1st ODI, Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy
Aug 14: 2nd ODI, Mahinda Rajapakse International Stadium, Hambantota
Aug 16: 3rd ODI, Mahinda Rajapakse International Stadium, Hambantota
Aug 20: 4th ODI, R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
Aug 22: 5th ODI, R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
Aug 31: 1st Test, Galle International Stadium, Galle
Sep 8: 2nd Test, Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy
Sep 16: 3rd Test, Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo

IPL Spot-fixing, Sreesanth and 2 other Rajasthan Royals players held

Three Rajasthan Royals players, Sreesanth , Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan were arrested on Thursday for their alleged involvement in spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 6. The trio allegedly received upto Rs 60 lakh for conceding runs in a pre-determined over from bookies with possible Mumbai underworld links. The special cell of the Delhi Police arrested Sreesanth and his teammates — Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan — in Mumbai early this morning for indulging in spot-fixing in at least three IPL matches on May 5, 9 and 15. Eleven bookies have also been arrested from Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The police are on the look-out for two more bookies. A Delhi court has sent the three players and all bookies to five-day police custody. The players, who have been suspended by the BCCI, have been brought to Delhi and charged under Section 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy).
