Lehmann named Kings XI Punjab coach


Former Australian cricketer Darren Lehmann has been appointed the new coach of Kings XI Punjab.

Previously, Lehmann had coached the Deccan Chargers.


The 42-year-old Lehmann said, "I'm geared up for the challenges it brings and will always encourage our team to be an entertaining and aggressive brand that people love to watch and associate with, I'm also looking forward to working with Adam Gilchrist again and help all the players grow on and off the field."

Lehmann also coaches in the Big Bash League side Queensland and the Brisbane Heat.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia. Bracken took his retirement in January and could not play the entire 2010 season last year due to injury. According to the report of Daily Telegraph Bracken is seeking about $1 million from CA.
