Muralitharan to play domestic cricket in New Zealand


Former Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is ready to play New Zealand's domestic Twenty20 tournament from next season.He's currently playing in Indian Premier League with Kochi Tuskers Kerala.

With 800 wickets in Test cricket to his name Muttiah Muralitharan was keen to play in domestic tournaments in New Zealand and will look to play the part of the Wellington Firebirds.

Confirming the deal to include off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan in team, chief executive Gavin Larsen said "the team will get benefit."

Larsen said to the 'New Zealand Herald' all-time great international players to seek the services of one of the Wellington team will get benefit.He said, "He is a great cricketer and play an important role for us."

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia.
