Australia's fast bowler Riley Meredith has officially joined Somerset for their Vitality Blast campaign, committing to the club until at least the quarter-final stage of the competition. The 27-year-old pacer will also be available for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup group stages, along with a "managed number" of Vitality County Championship matches. Expressing his enthusiasm for the stint, the seamer stated, "I'm looking forward to the challenge of playing in English conditions and I can't wait to get started. Somerset are the current Vitality Blast champions, and I'll be doing everything I can to help them retain the title."
