Collingwood Signed 3 more years with Durham


Paul Collingwood, Former England T20 Captain has signed a three years contract with Durham.

Collingwood was retired from test cricket at the end of the Ashes in Austrralia this year and he had been approach from Derbyshire in July.

After returned to Durham he said he was happy to stay at his home club where he played his first-class debut match 15 years ago.

Collingwood said: "I'm a Durham lad through and through and I've really enjoyed being back in the dressing room with the guys. The club is ambitious and the quality of the team shows how committed we are to winning more silverware over the coming years and I want to be part of that - bringing more sporting success back to the North East."

The Durham coach, Geoff Cook said, "We are delighted that Paul has decided to commit his future to Durham - he is a fantastic player with a great attitude and a real desire for the club to continue to move forward. He has consistently produced match-winning performances for us since his return to the side and to have him representing the club, on and off the field, is brilliant."

Paul Collingwood to play for Perth Scorchers in KFC Twenty20 Big Bash League starting from December 30.

Nathan Bracken sues Cricket Australia

Melbourne, Thursday, October 13, 2011 Former Australian fast bowler Nathan bracken has taken Cricket Australia (CA) to the court, claiming that when he was struggling with his chronic knee injury then he did not receive any compensation for lost wages, damages and medical expenses from Cricket Australia.
