James Pattinson and David Warner both have been recalled to the Australia's 14-man squad for the one-day series against England . Jacques Kallis to quit Tests Cricket

South Africa's greatest all-rounder Jacques Kallis has insisted to retire from Test cricket after the second and final test match against India at Durban, staring on Boxing Day. However, the 28-year-old has insisted that he will be available for the 2015 World Cup. Kallis said, " It wasn't an easy decision, with Australia around the corner and the success this team is enjoying, but I feel the time is right. I don't see it as goodbye, I still have a lot of hunger to push South Africa to that World Cup in 2015 if I am fit and performing. The last two years specifically have been a memorable journey with an exceptional group of cricketers. I am fortunate enough to have ended my Test career amongst a group of talented cricketers but, more importantly, friends whom I will cherish for years to come." Kallis made his Test debut in December 1995 against England, since then he has played 165 Tests with 44 centuries and 58 half-centuries at an average of 55.12.

Sri Lanka Test Squad against Pakistan in UAE

Sri Lanka have announced the 16-man Test squad for the three-test series against Pakistan in UAE. Mahela Jayawardene, Kaushal Silva and a wicketkeeper-batsman Prasanna Jayawardene have been added to the squad. The first test will begin in Abu Dhabi on December 31. Perth Scorchers - Yasir Arafat to replace Dwayne Smith

Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat has signed Perth Scorchers for the Big Bash League. He will replace West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith, who will not be available to the entire Big Bash League due to his personal commitments. Arafat, 31, played his last game in September 2012 during the World Twenty20. He has also featured in domestic leagues of England, New Zealand, Bangladesh and Scotland. What Next? England - Graeme Swann Retires

England offspinner Graeme Swann has announced his retirement from all-form of cricket with immediate effect during the Ashes tour. The 34-year-old has been popular figure in England cricket, he is the sixth-leading wicket taker of all time in Tests for England. He made his Test debut in 2008, since then he took 255 wickets in 60 Tests. During the current Ashes tour in Australia, Swann claims seven wickets in the three Tests. He said in a statement: "After a great deal of consideration I have decided to call it a day on my international and first-class career." "This decision has been very difficult seeing as the England team has been my family for seven years now, but I feel that now is the right time to step down."

South Africa Test Squad for India

South Africa's selectors have announced 15-man squad for the two Tests against India, starting on Sunday - 18 December at Johannesburg. South Africa Left-handed batsman, Graeme Smith will lead the side in both Tests. Four fast bowlers including Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Vernon Philander and Rory Kleinveldt are the tough challenges for Team India in such conditions. BBL - Dwayne Smith signs Perth Scorchers

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Smith has signed Perth Scorchers . He became the second international player for the Scorchers after South African bowler Alfonso Thomas in Big Bash League . The 30-year-old, Smith said: "I'm really happy to have signed with the Perth Scorchers. Perth is a beautiful city, so hopefully I can experience a bit of what it has to offer in between the cricket." Right-handed batsman, who has also featured in County Cricket for Sussex and in Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians. He was a part of New South Wales in 2009-10 season of BBL. Australia wins second Ashes Test, beat England in Adelaide

Australia thrashed 218-run victory over England in second test of the Ashes , take 2-0 lead. The hosts took the remaining four wickets on the fifth day in Adelaide and they are now only one win away from winning the Ashes series after three consecutive defeats, which starts in Perth on Friday. The tourists have to win the third test to rescue the urn from the Aussies at WACA pitch. But if we take a look at the records, England have only won once in 12 tests at Perth.

Dhoni: India keen to reclaim the ICC World Twenty20 Title

Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has insisted that his team is looking forward to claim the ICC World T20 trophy next year in Bangladesh, according to The Times of India . Currently India have the 50-over World Cup and Champions Trophy in their possession and looking forward to clinch the ICC World T20 trophy in order to complete a unique feat. India's wicket-keeper cum batsman Dhoni said, "It's personally quite exciting for me as a captain, as I look forward to leading India's quest to reclaim the ICC World Twenty20 title."   "If India manages to snare this coveted trophy, it will complete a unique feat as it already holds the ICC Cricket World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy." Big Bash League - Ajantha Mendis signs Sydney Thunder

Sri Lanka spinner Ajantha Mendis has committed himself by signing a deal with Sydney Thunder for Big Bash League .  The 28-year-old will join his fellow team player Tillakaratne Dilshan , who joined them last month . Mendis, who also plays for Pune Warriors in Indian Premier League , said: "I have watched the success of the BBL and to have a chance to play in it and test myself against some of the best players in the world is extremely exciting.” Sydney Thunder coach Chandika Hathurusinghe and the former Sri Lanka batsman has expressed his happiness to have Mendis to Squad. "The signing of Ajantha is a major boost for the Thunder because he provides both experience and an element of mystery to the bowling line-up,"  Hathurusinghe said.  Mendis, who has an excellent career in Twenty20 format, played 85 Twenty20s with an average of 17.71 with 117 wickets and an economy rate of 6.56. The Thunder to take on Sydney Sixers on December 21 at the SCG .

Dhawan Under Top 10 ODI Batsman

Finally, India's left-handed opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has earned his place in top 10 ICC ODI batsmen Rankings following his outstanding form against West Indies ODI series. Dhawan is currently sit on the ninth position with 736 points, which is 140 points behind the #1 ODI batsman, Virat kohli. However, the rankings for the ICC ODI Team remains the same. India is first, Australia is second and England is in third place. Now, India to start the three-match ODI series against South Africa in Johannesburg, starting on December 5. Dhawan has to maintain their performance meter up to hunt for the number-one ODI batsman ranking in the ICC.
