Superb batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan is the new captain for England's forthcoming tour.After losing to India in World Cup final, Kumar Sangakkara gave up the captaincy.

Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement on Monday that Dilshan has been appointed as a new Sri Lanka captain to tour England in May Test, ODI and Twenty20.

But the appointment of vice-captain is currently touted as potential candidates for the post injury and his availability is questionable for England.

34 -year-old Dilshan recent World Cup opener was the top scorer. He scored 500 at an average of 62.50.
